Evan Williams (* 31. März 1972 in Nebraska) ist ein amerikanischer Unternehmer, der mehrere Internetunternehmen gegründet hat.

Williams gründete 1999 zusammen mit Meg Hourihan die Firma Pyra Labs und entwickelte dort unter anderem die erfolgreiche Webseite Blogger.com. Vier Jahre später, am 17. Februar 2003, wurde Pyra Labs an Google verkauft. Williams war daraufhin bis Oktober 2004 bei Google beschäftigt.

Zusammen mit Biz Stone und Jack Dorsey entwickelte er die Software Twitter und gründete im April 2007 die gleichnamige Firma. Im Oktober 2010 gab er bekannt, dass der bisherige COO Dick Costolo seine Nachfolge als CEO antritt. Nach eigenen Angaben möchte Williams sich wieder mehr auf die Entwicklung von Produkten konzentrieren[1].
