Evolution robotics ist ein US-amerikanisches Unternehmen für Robotertechnologie aus Pasadena, Los Angeles County, Kalifornien. Zu den Produkten gehören Lösungen für maschinelles Sehen, Lokalisation und autonomes Navigieren. Evolution robotics kooperiert mit der University of Cambridge[1] und gilt als technologieführend im Bereich der visuellen Objekterkennung.[2] In den letzten Jahres trat Evolution robotics zudem als Hauptsponsor mehrerer Robotik-Wettbewerbe und -Konferenzen in Erscheinung.[3]

Software von Evolution robotics zur Objekterkennung wurde bereits vom Korean Institute of Industrial Technology und der Sony Robotics Division lizenziert.[4][5] Evolution robotics arbeitet außerdem mit IBM und Wowwee zusammen.[6]

Seit 2004 besitzt Evolution robotics eine Europa-Niederlassung in Velbert.[7]
