Fairfax ist eine unabhängige Stadt im US-Bundesstaat Virginia. In der Stadt leben 22.055 Einwohner auf 16 km² Fläche. In Fairfax befinden sich neun öffentliche Parks, und die Stadt liegt in einer Höhe von 136 m ü. NN. Fairfax ist Sitz der George Mason University, wo im Jahr 2000 auch der Weltcup der Freistilringer stattfand. Fairfax ist Unternehmenssitz von Argon ST.
