Frederick Avolio

Frederick Avolio (* 13. Juli 1964 in Clifton) ist ein US-amerikanischer Informatiker.

Avolio ist ein anerkannter Experte für Netzwerksicherheit. Seit 1979 ist er in der UNIX-/TCP/IP-Community aktiv. Er begann seine berufliche Karriere bei der Geheimdienstbehörde NSA, wo er sich auf E-Mail-Systeme spezialisierte. Später wechselte er zu der Firma DEC, wo er unter anderem an der Fertigstellung der DEC-Firewall SEAL beteiligt war.

Seine Firma Avolio Consulting gründete er 1998.
