Fulfillment (britisches Englisch Fulfilment „Erfüllung“) ist die Gesamtheit aller Aktivitäten, die nach dem Abschluss eines Vertrags der Belieferung des Kunden dienen.

Darüber hinaus kann Fulfillment auch als Baustein der positiven Aufrechterhaltung der Kundenbeziehung gesehen werden. Vor allem durch die Aktivitäten:

Fulfillmentaufgaben werden in der Regel von spezialisierten (je nach Branche und Markt) Logistikdienstleistern übernommen. Der Begriff des Fulfillment taucht meistens im Zusammenhang mit B2C-Aktivitäten (aber auch im B2B-Bereich, wobei hier die logistischen Kernaufgaben im Vordergrund stehen) und E-Commerce auf. In diesem Fall übernimmt der Logistikdienstleister alle jene Aufgaben, die nach dem Tätigen einer Online-Bestellung erfolgen. Der Betreiber des Online-Shops hat sozusagen diese (für ihn eher weniger wertschöpfende) Aufgaben an den Spezialisten ausgegliedert. Man spricht daher vom Business Process Outsourcing oder auch von einer „Rundum-sorglos-Logistik“. Im Zusammenhang mit E-Business-Transaktionen spricht man auch von E-Fulfillment.

Große bekannte Fulfillment-Dienstleister sind amazon, arvato, DHL, Fiege, Hermes und Kühne + Nagel.
