Vergleich Vollzeitäquivalent der Beschäftigten in Deutschland

Vollzeitäquivalent (abgekürzt: VZÄ; englisch: Full Time Equivalent, kurz: FTE) ist ein Vergleichswert (Gegengröße, Äquivalent/Entsprechung), die im HRM (Human Resource Management) zur Anwendung kommt. In der deutschen Sprache wird das Wort Vollzeit-Arbeitskraft, Vollzeitmitarbeiter oder Vollkraft, aber auch Manntag(e)/Personentag(e) oder auch MAK (Mitarbeiterkapazität(en)) angewandt.

FTE drückt den Zeitwert aus, den eine Vollzeit-Arbeitskraft (Vollzeit → 100 % Beschäftigungsgrad) innerhalb eines vergleichbaren Zeitraums erbringt (Tag, Woche, Monat, Jahr). Eine Arbeitskraft, die vertraglich zu acht Stunden Tagesarbeitszeit verpflichtet ist, erbringt demnach an einem Tag acht Stunden, in der Woche 40 Stunden et cetera Arbeitsleistung.

Ein Team von Arbeitskräften setzt sich oft aus personellen Ressourcen mit unterschiedlichem Beschäftigungsgrad zusammen. Um die zeitliche Arbeitsleistung auszudrücken, gelangt der Vergleichswert FTE zur Anwendung. Zwei Ressourcen mit 50 % Beschäftigungsgrad ergeben die Arbeitsleistung von 1 FTE.

Der Ausdruck FTE bildet somit eine etablierte und standardisierte Vergleichsgröße (Indikator für das Benchmarking).
