Der Glukose-Oxidase-Test (GOD-Test) ist eine chemische Nachweismethode von Glukose, die häufig in der klinischen Chemie zum Nachweis einer Erkrankung an Diabetes mellitus verwendet wird. Test-Kits, beispielsweise in Form von Teststreifen, sind kommerziell verfügbar.

Die Wirkungsweise des Tests beruht auf der Oxidation von Glukose durch die Glukose-Oxidase, einem Enzym, das die sauerstoff-abhängige Oxidation des C1-Kohlenstoffatoms des Zuckers katalysiert. Dabei entsteht Gluconsäure (nach Hydrolyse des Gluconolactons) und Wasserstoffperoxid. Letzteres wird dann in einer nachgeschalteten Farbreaktion zu Wasser reduziert, die durch ein Peroxidase (POD) genanntes Enzym, häufig aus dem Meerrettich gewonnen, katalysiert wird. Daher ist auch manchmal die Rede vom „GOD/POD-Test“. Außerdem kann über das gebildete Wasserstoffperoxid mit Hilfe einer elektrochemischen Messung (siehe Elektrochemie) eine Quantifizierung, d. h. eine genaue Konzentrationsbestimmung, der Glukose (z. B. im Blut) erfolgen.
