Allerød Kommune ist eine dänische Kommune, die sich in der Region Hovedstaden zwischen der Birkerød Kommune und der Rudersdal Kommune im Südosten und der Hillerød Kommune im Nordwesten befindet.

Wichtigster Ortsteil der Kommune ist die Stadt Lillerød. Die Kommune hat eine Fläche von 67,4 km².

Nach der Region wurde die letzte Warmphase (vor ca. 12. bis 14.000 Jahren) vor Ende der letzten Eiszeit als Allerød-Interstadial benannt. Dort wurden gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhundert erstmals archäologische Überreste aus dieser, für die Siedlungsentwicklung Europas in der späten Altsteinzeit (Spätpaläolithikum) bedeutsamen Periode gefunden.
