Hollinghurst

Alan Hollinghurst (* 26. Mai 1954 in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England) ist ein britischer Schriftsteller.

Hollinghurst studierte englische Sprache am Magdalen College in Oxford. Er unterrichtet dort am University College und war Mitarbeiter der Literaturzeitschrift The Times Literary Supplement.

1989 erhielt er den Gay and Lesbian Book Award für sein Werk The Swimming Pool Library und 2004 den Booker Prize für seinen Roman The Line of Beauty.
