Hugoton ist die Kreisstadt des Stevens County im US-Bundesstaat Kansas und hat 3708 Einwohner.

Es gibt drei öffentliche Schulen in Hugoton; eine Grundschule (Elementary School), welche bis zum 6. Schuljahr führt, eine Middle School für die Schuljahre 7 und 8, sowie eine High School. Außerdem gibt es eine christliche Akademie für Leute, die eine private Ausbildung bevorzugen.

Der Schauspieler Billy Drago wurde 1949 in Hugoton geboren.
