Ipconfig

ipconfig ist ein Befehl, der unter Microsoft Windows NT die Einstellungen im Netzwerkprotokoll TCP/IP übersichtlich anzeigt. Dazu zählen auch die IP-Adressen der verwendeten Netzwerkgeräte.

Auf der Kommandozeile/Konsole von Windows steht der Befehl ipconfig zu Verfügung, um Informationen des lokalen TCP/IP-Stacks zu erhalten. Alle Informationen lassen sich auch über die Netzwerkeinstellungen der Systemsteuerung einsehen. ipconfig hat auf der Kommandozeilenebene den Vorteil, dass die Daten übersichtlich dargestellt werden.

ipconfig kann folgende allgemeine Informationen liefern:

Mit ipconfig /all kann man sich folgende Informationen ausgeben lassen:

  • Physikalische Adresse (MAC-Adresse)
  • DHCP aktiviert
  • Subnet Mask
  • Standard-Gateway

  • Zweiter WINS-Server

Das Sichern und Wiederherstellen einer gesamten IP-Konfiguration ermöglicht das Tool netsh.

Unter Unix und unixoiden Systemen gibt der Befehl ifconfig ähnliche Informationen aus.
