HeimAuswärtsDer FC Kilmarnock (offiziell: Kilmarnock Football Club) ist ein schottischer Fußballverein aus Kilmarnock. Er wurde 1869 als Cricketclub gegründet. Die Fussballabteilung gründete sich 1873. Nachdem man von 1900 bis zur kriegsbedingten Pause 1940 in der höchsten Spielklasse (damals „Scottish League Division 1“) gespielt hatte, stieg man in der ersten Nachkriegssaison ab. Es folgte noch ein längerer Aufenthalt in der Division 1 von 1954 bis 1977. In dieser Zeit konnte man auch 1965 den bis heute einzigen Meistertitel holen. Doch in der Zeit danach kann man durchaus von einer Fahrstuhlmannschaft reden. Konstant hochklassig gespielt wird seit 1993 wieder in der höchsten Spielklasse Schottlands, der Scottish Premier League. 1997 holte der Kilmarnock Football Club überraschend den ersten Titel seit 32 Jahren und wurde zum dritten mal schottischer Pokalsieger.
