Kitchenaid (Eigenschreibweise: KitchenAid) ist ein Hersteller von Universalküchenmaschinen, die in Leistung und Preis über herkömmlichen Haushaltsmaschinen liegen.

Geschichte

Die Hobart Corporation stellte ab 1914 in den USA Rühr- und Knetmaschinen für den Einsatz in Bäckereien und Restaurants her. Ab 1919 wurde eine für den Gebrauch im Haushalt geeignete Küchenmaschine unter der Marke KitchenAid angeboten. 1980 kaufte Dart & Kraft die Firma Hobart. 1986 kaufte Whirlpool die Marke KitchenAid und die zugehörigen Werke.[1]
