Anne Marsh

Anne Marsh, geborene Anne Caldwell (* um 1799 in Staffordshire; † Oktober 1874 in Lindley-Wood) war eine englische Schriftstellerin.

Sie heiratete den Bankier Marsh in London.

Ab 1834 begann Marsh anonym eine Reihe von Romanen zu veröffentlichen, die fast alle ins Deutsche übersetzt wurden, und deren Hauptwert auf der Schilderung zeitgenössischer Sitten beruht. Neben diesen belletristischen Werken, schrieb sie auch Sachbücher, wie "The protestant revolution" und übersetzte das altfranzösische "Rolandslied".

Mit ungefähr 75 Jahren starb die Schriftstellerin Marsh im Oktober 1874 in Lindley-Wood.
