Das Light Armored Vehicle-25 (kurz LAV-25) ist ein vierachsiger (zwei davon gelenkt) amphibischer Radpanzer des United States Marine Corps, der mit einer 25-mm-Maschinenkanone und oft auch einem Raketenwerfer bewaffnet ist (meistens ein TOW-Werfer). Er ist dafür vorgesehen, zu den ersten Einheiten zu gehören, die bei einer Landungsoperation an Land gehen. Er dient dem Aussetzen von Truppen sowie dem Aufspüren von Infanterie und leichten feindlichen Fahrzeugen.
Die Fahrzeuge werden von General Dynamics Land Systems in Kanada hergestellt und waren ursprünglich eine Lizenzproduktion des Radschützenpanzers Piranha, der von der schweizerischen Firma MOWAG in Kreuzlingen entworfen und gebaut wurde. MOWAG wurde mittlerweile von General Dynamics übernommen und in die General Dynamics European Land Combat Systems (ELCS) integriert.
Die US Army verwendete in den neu gebildeten Stryker-Brigaden mehrere Varianten des LAV/Piranha III unter der Bezeichnung Stryker.
