Lightweight Extensible Authentication Protocol

Das Lightweight Extensible Authentication Protocol (LEAP) ist eine proprietäre Methode von Cisco Systems, mit der es möglich ist, eine Authentifizierung für Wireless Clients zu integrieren. Ein interessantes Merkmal ist die Möglichkeit, mehrere rotierende WEP-Keys verwenden zu können. Zusätzlich ist es möglich, den Client von einem RADIUS-Server aus zu authentifizieren. Durch das Rotieren der WEP-Keys wird eine höhere Sicherheit erzielt (jedenfalls solange die Keys nicht gehackt wurden).
