Antigua Sailing Week

Die Antigua Sailing Week zählt zu den wichtigsten Segelregatten der Welt und wird seit 1967 alljährlich Ende April/Anfang Mai auf Antigua (Karibik) ausgetragen. Es finden insgesamt fünf Wettfahrten rund um die Insel Antigua statt, an denen sich alljährlich ungefähr 250 in sechs Klassen startende Boote beteiligen. Tägliche Strandpartys sowie die Aktivitäten am „Lay Day“ und am „Dockyard Day“ ziehen viele Gäste an, darunter zahlreiche Deutsche, die in den vergangenen Jahren mit bis zu 400 Teilnehmern bereits wiederholt die am stärksten vertretene Nation stellten und immer wieder begehrte Siege für sich entscheiden konnten.
