Der Antwerp International Airport (ndl. Luchthaven Antwerpen) (IATA-Code: ANR, ICAO-Code: EBAW) ist der Flughafen der Stadt Antwerpen in Belgien. Er liegt 3 km südöstlich von Antwerpen. Brüssel liegt 50 km südlich ebenfalls noch in Schlagdistanz.

Fluggesellschaften & Ziele

Aus Gründen des Umweltschutzes und der Konkurrenz anderer Verkehrsmittel und Flughäfen starten und landen in Antwerpen hauptsächlich Charter- und Privatflugzeuge.

Für den Großteil des kommerziellen Passagieraufkommens von 174.858 Personen im Jahr 2007 ist vor allem die Fluggesellschaft VLM Airlines des Air France-KLM-Konzerns zurückzuführen. Die "Vlaamse Luchttransportmaatschappij" bedient zum Beispiel den London City Airport und Manchester.

Als deutschsprachiges Ziel wird in den Wintermonaten Innsbruck durch die Welcome Air bedient. VLM Airlines wird ab dem 4. Mai 2009 dreimal täglich die Strecke Antwerpen-Frankfurt anbieten[1].
