Metnet Landungs Konzept

MetNet ist ein finnisch-russisches Mars-Programm, in dem mehrere kleine Raumsonden zum Mars geschickt werden sollen, die ein Observierungsnetzwerk zur Erforschung der Atmosphäre, Aufbau und Meteorologie des Planeten errichten sollen. Das Programm wird vom Finnischen Meteorologieinstitut geleitet.[1]

Zurzeit wird ein sub-orbitaler Testflug vorbereitet, wobei die Landungssysteme der Sonden getestet werden sollen. Der Testflug soll 2008 mit einer UR-100N-Rakete erfolgen.[2]

Danach werden als zweiter Teil des Programms ein bis zwei Sonden zum Mars geschickt. Zwei Transportmöglichkeiten sind geplant: entweder mit einer Sojus-Rakete gleichzeitig mit Fobos-Grunt oder mit einer Wolna-Rakete.[3]

Die restlichen Sonden werden bis 2019 abgeschickt.
