Montélimar ist eine Stadt im Département Drôme (Region Rhône-Alpes) in Frankreich. Sie liegt am Rande der Provence im Rhônetal zwischen Valence und Orange. 2005 hatte Montélimar 33.181 Einwohner. Die Einwohner bezeichnen sich als Montiliens.

Geschichte

Die Stadt entstand um ein Schloss der Familie Adhémar aus dem 12. Jahrhundert. Das Schloss und die historische Altstadt sind bis heute erhalten.
