2-4 Family war eine Hip-Hop-/Rapband, welche von 1998 bis 2000 zwölf Lieder veröffentlichte. Die Band wurde von den amerikanischen Rappern Jay Double (Jay Dogg) und Michael Johnson (Jazz), sowie der koreanischen Sängerin Essence Woods (Essie) aus Texas und ihrer Freundin Joanne Valda O'Meara (Jo) aus London 1997 in Deutschland gegründet. Jo, die spätere Leadsängerin von S Club 7, wurde nach der ersten Single Stay durch Joanna Biscardine, ebenfalls aus London, ersetzt. Die zweite Single Lean on Me platzierte sich 1999 wie die erste Single in vielen Chartlisten Europas. Am 16. März 1999 veröffentlichte die Band ihr einziges Album Family Business und drei Monate später folgte ihre dritte und letzte Single Take Me Home.

2006 wurde die Band 2-4 Family von den Produzenten mit neuen Mitgliedern unter gleichem Namen neu gegründet und veröffentlichte die weniger erfolgreiche Single Stand Up.
