Sinalunga

Sinalunga (früher Asinalunga), Stadt in der ital. Provinz Siena, Kreis Montepulciano, an der Eisenbahn Empoli-Chiusi, hat eine Hauptkirche mit Gemälde von Sodoma, einen Palazzo Pretorio (14. Jahrh.), ein Theater, eine Glasfabrik, Ölgewinnung und (not) 1283 (als Gemeinde 9520) Einw. In S. wurde Garibaldi 1867 auf Befehl der italienischen Regierung gefangen genommen.
