Bypass-Station

Eine Bypass-Station ist eine Dampfleitung mit Druckreduzierventil und Einspritzkühler parallel zu einem Dampfverbraucher. Falls der Dampfverbraucher keinen Dampf abnehmen kann, wird der Dampf an dem Verbraucher vorbeigeführt. Das ist - zumindest vorübergehend - notwendig, weil der Dampferzeuger (Dampfkessel) nur langsam an einen geänderten Verbrauch angepasst werden kann.
