Die Church of North India ist ein Glied des Weltrats methodistischer Kirchen und der Anglikanischen Kirchengemeinschaft, welches 1970 zu einer eigenständigen Kirchenprovinz wurde. An seiner Spitze steht als Primas ein Moderator, welcher ein Bischof der 27 Diözesen ist:

Doch besteht die Church of North India nicht nur aus Anglikanern, sondern auch aus Methodisten und Presbyterianern.

Gemeinsam mit der Church of Pakistan, der Church of Bangladesh und der Church of South India bildet sie eine der vier "vereinigten Kirchen" der anglikanischen Kirchengemeinschaft.
