Grigoriopol (kyrillisch-moldauisch: Григориополь) ist eine Stadt in Moldawien auf der linken Seite des Flusses Dnister.

Sie befindet sich 45 km nordwestlich von Tiraspol auf dem Territorium, das von der Transnistrischen Moldauischen Republik kontrolliert wird.

Der Ort wurde 1792 durch den armenischen Bischof Howsep für armenische Emigranten begründet[1], die lange Zeit durchwegs armenische Stadt ist heute hauptsächlich von Moldawien und Russen bewohnt. Auch für deutsche Kolonisten war die Stadt einst vorgesehen, nach Problemen mit dem Zusammenleben mit den Armeniern gründeten diese aber die Glückstaler Kolonien im Gebiet östlich der Stadt.

Rundfunksender Majak

In der Nähe von Grigoripol bei Majak wurde in den Jahren 1968 bis 1975 eine riesige Sendeanlage für Kurz- und Mittelwelle errichtet. Ende der 1980er Jahre wurden dort 20 Sender betrieben. 1997 stürzten in Folge von Vereisung ein 350 m und ein 250 m hoher Mast der Anlage, die zur Verbreitung von Rundunkprogrammen im Mittelwellenbereich dienten, ein.
