Shikakai

Shikakai (hindi: शिकाकाई, śikākāī; in Sanskrit Saptala) ist die Frucht der Akazien-Art Acacia concinna, die in Zentralindien wächst.

Shikakai wird vermahlen und unter Zugabe von Wasser als traditionelles ayurvedisches Shampoo und Haarpflegemittel verwendet.

Es hat haarpflegende und -aufbauende Wirkstoffe, die vielen industriell gefertigten Shampoos in nichts nachstehen. Zudem ist Shikakai ohne chemische Zusatzstoffe, was es insbesondere für Allergiker, Menschen mit empfindlicher Kopfhaut und Kinder zum idealen Haarpflegemittel macht.
