99 Bottles of Beer

99 Bottles of Beer [ˈnaɪntinaɪnˈbɑːtlsəvbɪr][1] (99 Flaschen Bier) ist ein beliebtes Lied in den USA und Kanada, das oft bei langen Ausflügen gesungen wird. Das Lied ist eine Variante des britischen Kinderliedes Ten Green Bottles. Das Lied fängt mit dieser Strophe an:

Ninety-nine bottles of beer on the wall,
Ninety-nine bottles of beer.
Take one down, pass it around,
Ninety-eight bottles of beer on the wall.

Diese Strophe wird mit immer weniger Flaschen wiederholt, bis man zu 0 Flaschen angekommen ist. Der vollständige Text des Liedes wird auch gerne programmiert.[2] Eine Variante, die niemals aufhört, ist Aleph-Null Bottles of Beer, denn wenn man von Aleph-Null Flaschen Bier eine wegnimmt, bleiben Aleph-Null Flaschen übrig. Bei einer weiteren Variante, sagt man put it back up (stelle sie wieder auf) anstatt pass it around, so dass es auch nie zu einem Ende kommt.[3] Man kann dies auch vermeiden, indem man am Ende sagt, man solle zu einem Laden gehen und sich neue kaufen. So verlängert man die Singzeit, bis man genug hat.[4]

Go to the store and buy some more,
Ninety-nine bottles of beer on the wall.
