Shawnee ist eine US-amerikanische Stadt im Bundesstaat Oklahoma. Sie liegt im Verwaltungsbereich von Pottawatomie County.

Im Jahre 2000 betrug die Bevölkerung des Ortes etwa 28.700 Menschen. Shawnee hat mit Nikaho eine Partnerstadt in Japan.

Die Stadt verfügt über zwei Universitäten. Die St. Gregory's University geht auf die 1875 von französischen Benediktinern gegründete St. Gregory's Abbey zurück[1], die Gründung der Oclahoma Baptist University erfolgte 1906.
