Forlimpopoli ist eine Gemeinde mit 13.063 Einwohnern (Stand 31. Dezember 2010)in der Provinz Forlì-Cesena in der italienischen Region Emilia-Romagna.

Baudenkmäler

Burg im Stadtzentrum

Eine eindrucksvolle, gut erhaltene Burg aus dem 16. Jahrhundert in der Stadtmitte. Sie beherbergt die Kommunalverwaltung, das Archäologische Museum, ein Theater und die Musikschule.

Musikschule

Die "Scuola di Musica Popololare di Forlimpopoli" wurde von der Gemeinde gegründet und wird jetzt als Verein getragen von den Dozenten und Schülern. Der Musikunterricht hat einen Schwerpunkt in der Pflege traditioneller Folk-Musik aus der Region. Die Musikschule hat eine überregionale Bedeutung. In Kooperation mit der Akademie Burg Fürsteneck in Deutschland und dem Eric Sahlström Institutet in Schweden hat die Musikschule die "Europäische Nyckelharpa-Fortbildung" entwickelt.

  • Pellegrino Artusi, (1820-1911) Autor eines der frühesten Kochbücher "La scienza in cucina e l'arte di mangiar bene", erschienen in Forlimpopoli, 1820. Ein kleines Museum erinnert an Pellegrino Artusi.
