O'Higgins, chilen. Provinz zwischen den Flüssen Maipo u. Rapel (Cachapoal), erstreckt sich vom Stillen Ozean bis zum Kamm der Anden (San José 6096 m, Maipó 5416 m), 6066 qkm mit (1908) 96,868 Einw. (Dichte 16). Landbau mit künstlicher Bewässerung und Viehzucht sind die Haupterwerbszweige. Gold findet sich neben andern Mineralien in den bis 2238 m hohen Cerros de Alhué. Hauptstadt ist Rancagua (s. d.).
