Homer ist eine Town(ship) im Staat New York im Cortland (Cortland County). Der Name stammt vom griechischen Dichter Homer. Die Stadt wurde 1791 von Joseph und Rhoda Beede und dem Bruder von Rhoda, Amos Todd, gegründet.
