Johann Georg Lickl

Hans-Georg Lickl (auch Ligkl) (* 11. April 1769 in Korneuburg, Niederösterreich; † 12. Mai 1843 in Fünfkirchen, Ungarn) war ein österreichischer Komponist.

In Wien wirkte er als Klavierlehrer und soll auch ein geschätzter Orgelspieler gewesen sein. Für das Theater auf der Wieden schrieb Lickl verschiedene Opern. Im Jahre 1806 erfolgte seine Ernennung zum Kapellmeister der Hauptkirche von Fünfkirchen in Ungarn, wo er sich der kirchlichen Komposition zuwandte.

Von dem im Jahre 1843 verstorbenen Komponisten erschienen zu seinen Lebzeiten bei Haslinger in Wien und bei Gombart in Augsburg einige seiner Klavier- und Kammermusikwerke. Seine Söhne Karl Georg und Ägid Karl waren ebenfalls Komponisten.
