Handlung

Thomas Cross ist ein Computerexperte, er verbringt viel Zeit beim Surfen im Internet. Cross lernt dort virtuell die Amsterdamerin Cathy kennen, mit der er häufig chattet.

Eines Tages wird Cathy ermordet, was Cross durch eine Webcam beobachtet. Er benachrichtigt die Polizei, kann jedoch keine genauen Angaben über die Ermordete machen. Später wird er selbst des Mordes verdächtigt.

Cross sucht auf eigene Hand den wahren Täter. Die französische Polizistin Claire Bligh hilft ihm dabei.

Kritiken

Das Lexikon des internationalen Films kritisierte, die Handlung sei „wenig originell“. [1]

Hintergrund

Der Film wurde in London und in Paris gedreht. [2] Seine Weltpremiere erfolgte am 21. Juni 2003 auf dem Internationalen Filmfestival Moskau. Im Juli und August 2003 wurde der Film auf dem Fantasy Filmfest in München und in Hamburg vorgestellt. Am 2. Oktober 2003 wurde er auf dem französischen Dinard Festival of British Cinema vorgeführt.
